Southampton are languishing in the relegation zone with just four points and as such, doom and gloom are the only two words to describe the feeling on the Southampton fan forums.
“Bale to rip us a new one”
“Adkins farewell, most likely.”
“5-1 Spurs. They won’t have an easier game all season.”
“Lennon, Bale, Defoe, Dembele will have an absolute field day. Let’s be honest. They will all need to be off their game, and we will need to learn how to defend in 8 days to have even the slightest chance. They are in a different universe to us.”
It could be a high scoring game if their team adopts this policy, as it will leave space for our lot to run into:
“we aren’t going to be able to ‘keep it tight’ against a spurs including bale and co, but defensively they aren’t great, aging Gallas, both fullbacks are much better going forward than defensively.”
If the doom, gloom and five goal hammerings weren’t bad enough, there are even rumours of ‘Arry Redknapp taking over within 3 weeks if results don’t pick up. (Redknapp managed their arch rivals Portsmouth, before managing Southampton, then going back to Portsmouth again.)
“Please, please, please – do not let this be true. I don’t think I could take it – in fact I think I would rather go back down.”
“He’s a twitchy, disloyal Skate c*nt and shouldn’t be welcome in the city of Southampton let alone anywhere near our football club.”

Team News & Selection
Bale is set to return from paternity leave to face his former employers. Adebayor could return after suffering back pain, and Dembele is also a maybe following a hip complaint. Dawson is ill and faces a late fitness test whereas Parker, BAE and Kaboul are all still out.
This is the team I’d like to see, but I expect AVB to stick with Gallas in the back four, and Dempsey instead of Adebayor. Players should also be reminded how to kick a ball to each other instead of the opposition. That being said we should be able to outscore a Southampton team whose confidence is even lower than their league position. 3-1 Spurs. COYS!
