Pochettino guides Tottenham to Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane sparked rumours that he is set to exit the London club after the Spurs’ players celebrated Saturday’s 3-1 win at Crystal Palace with a mini-break in Barcelona this weekend.

Dele Alli, who scored a beauty against the Eagles, was all smiles with his teammates in Spain, as the Spurs squad soaked-up some of Sunday’s sun.

Little ride in Barcelona 🙌🏻😂🔥

While the players were cycling, manager Mauricio Pochettino — who knows Barcelona well, and having spent over a decade as a player and manager for the city’s second club – Espanyol – visited a few tourist attractions before the hard work got underway at Olympic Stadium.

Pochettino could have a close look on Barcelona starlet Sandro Ramirez, who is said to be one of the targets of the White Hart Lane club, as the Argentine boss looks for options up front, with Kane currently the only target-man in the squad.

The Lilywhites are 4th on Premier League table and will face strugglers Norwich City on second of February at Carrow Road. The Spurs players will need to make sure they are not still in holiday mode after the Canaries showed their attacking strength in the stunning 5-4 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend, Alex Neil’s team won’t be an easy task for the Spurs to overcome on their battle for Champions League qualifying zone.

Thus Spurs official statement have confirmed that centre-back Jan Vertongen sustained damage to his medial collateral ligament in his knee. The defender was hurt and had been substituted in the 75th minute following a collision with Palace striker Connor Wickham.

Supposedly Pochettino will deploy Eric Dier as a centre-back and Moussa Dembele will start along with Tom Carroll in the heart of midfield.
