Chicharito as the attacking option for Spurs

According to the IBTimes, Javier Hernandes is most likely to join major Premier Leauge side on this January transfer window. Not back to the Devils Den though, this time Tottenham and Arsenal have expressed great deal of interest towards the Mexican national as he is hammering his way up to Bundesleague top scorers with his 19 goals already in 21 matches, only half way through the season.
The reports say that he wouldn’t mind to have another go in England and prove his former superiors in Manchester wrong by joining up with another club.

North London side manager, Mauricio Pochettino, might just be aiming for the prize with this transfer, as his team lacks diversity in the attacking department, Chicharito would be a great addition to the team suffering with injuries, which comes as a no surprise for Spurs in recent years and actually having only 1 forward in squad.

With Harry kane being the sole striker for Spurs, I think Hernandez will give them just the extra room for rotation in the squad, which has always been a crucial part in Pochettino’s tactics. Also, we have to underline Chicharito’s style of play, he is a natural poacher and most importantly he is good on the ball, the quality that Kane and Son Heung-min often come short of, disrupting the attacking build-up for his teammates.

Another factor that we have to take in consideration is that Arsenal are also interested in Chicharito, whose current team Bayer Leverkusen is on the fifth place in Bundesleague with 27 points, 19 points behind the leader, Bayern Munich, only trying to get in the Champions League zone. While the Gunners are one of the contenders for the title this season – all the more reason for 27 year old Mexican to accept the transfer to North London and increase his chance of winning the major trophy one more time, and to breath the new life into his career, which seemed to be heading downhills until he rediscovered his form in Germany.
